On Injesting the News
There is another old poet whose name I do not now remember who said, “Truth is the daughter of Time.” – Abraham Lincoln
So much has been said about the news, and that people don’t believe it. So the question is how do I take in the news?
Below is how injest my daily newscycle.
-
I listen.
-
I try desperately to reserve no opinion, simple take it in as information.
-
Days later I return to the story, topic, and check multiple sources.
-
Finally, I also check the of news outlets I dislike, or can’t stand.
-
I ignore editorial content in news stories as best as I can.
Britney spears. – Sometimes, people are just screwed up, and they don’t have to be on drugs, or anything. I hope she get’s better, it’s a human thing to do, but I’m not going to care either way.
Hillary Clinton – Like her, hate her, not what this is about. Trying to tell me what her “near” crying means? Seriously? We /all/ have our opions of people when they get emotional. Such a singular opinion was set back in 5th grade.
Don’t Argue Opinion, Argue Facts.
