On Learning Like a Movie Star

I will prepare and some day my chance will come. – Abraham Lincoln
I don’t normally care about movie stars, but i do envy some, action stars really. I envy them because of the skills they learn; actually skills they are PAID to learn. That to me is the definition of the dream job.
A few editorials ago i mentioned how odd it was in today’s time to see someone who multi-tasks in their lives or abilities, whether that is being a boat captain and sculpture or a logger and a race-car driver. One person who is this way i can readily use is Condoleezza Rice, who amung her national security experience, and State department qualifications, she is also a Classical pianist.
But what the hell does this have to do with actors? Think about this; unlike actors of old who actually pretended to be cops or run about in the woods on a survival film, today’s action stars (and many others) take dancing lessons, swimming lessons, take survivalist training, gun classes, martial-arts classes, train with swat teams (to do a police movie) or the Army (to do a war movie).
True, the training is not in depth , and being adults, there is alot they forget, but what they know and learn is still enough for me to be envious off. So just incase anyone’s listening, i’m more than willing to be paid to learn; however, you’ll have to pay for me to learn to be a movie star first.
