It&#8217;s a fact of life, but these last two have made it to my editorial musings and i believed they should be shared. One is on the Patent Office and the other is on The Office of Special Counsel.<\/p>\n<p>A once famous song once pointed out the things that will affect you most, you actually have no control over.\u00a0 This Patent problem is one of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/05\/06\/washington\/06bar.html?_r=1&amp;scp=4&amp;sq=patent+law&amp;st=nyt&amp;oref=slogin\" target=\"_blank\">those things<\/a>. Its will cost millions and will affect lives, without actually showing any overt impact.\u00a0 [The article states that many judges in the patent approval process were not appointed by someone who has the power to appoint judges and which has the potential to make all their rulings invalid.]<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Patent law is one of those amazing things of capitalism and our constitution.\u00a0 The Framers understood that people will build, if they get credit and better, if they are allowed to reap the benefits of what they make.\u00a0 Patenting is part of the Greed of Capitalism and one no capitalist country can be without.\u00a0\u00a0  The basic belief behind building something in your garage is that at some point you can make a profit off it, whether that was the overall intention or not.<\/p>\n<p>This article shows how some appointments will be invalidated and be rather problematic for the justice system.\u00a0 What i can&#8217;t seem to get is how it happened.\u00a0 There is an entire department at the justice system that reviews patent law, legality and appointments.\u00a0 This thing will just be a mess in the end.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Special Counsel is a brance of the government that gives advice to federal employees on bribes, undue influence and other proper or improper interactions with those they come in contact with.\u00a0 The OSC was<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/05\/07\/washington\/06cnd-inquire.html?hp\"> just raide<\/a>d by the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>As previously stated, i take all first notices with a grain of skepticism, but perception is a powerful thing.\u00a0 This is one office i&#8217;d hope never to fall under FBI scrutinies.\u00a0 Unfortunately it seems that it&#8217;s director has been taking some liberties , enough to attract the attention of Hoover&#8217;s Watch Dogs.\u00a0 As JIM jefferys proved, being caught with money in hand and being raided\u00a0 for bribes, wont stop your political career so i doubt this will slow down Mr Bloch.\u00a0 Unfortunately.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I freely acknowledge myself the servant of the people, according to the bond of service &#8212; the United States Constitution; and that, as such, I am responsible to them.&#8221;-Abraham Lincoln All governments screw up.
